If your legal entity is changing, your PayPlug account must change consequently.
Indeed, for banking compliance reasons, we must keep information updated on the account holder.
Depending on your situation, it is possible that you will have ti create a new PayPlug account following this legal change.
The rule regarding this type of situation is the following: a new registration number makes obligatory a new PayPlug account. Indeed this situation implies the existence of a new legal entity and this account cannot be transferred from one legal structure to another.
The only exception concerns the self-employed/entrepreneur who wishes to change as a company. In that case, it is possible to update the existing account (Case 1 below)
Case 1 : you are self-employed and are changing to a company as legal structure.
If you are a, independent/self-employed and are adopting the legal entity of a company (example: LLC...) you can keep your PayPlug account.
It is necessary to send an official registration document (Kbis in France) of your new company to support@payplug.com
You should also upload a new bank document at the name of the company from your PayPlug account (more information)
Case 2: You are self-employed and wish to transfer your activity to another person (for example your partner)
I you are independent and wish another person independent too, to take over your activity, this involves a change of physical person and then of registration number (SIREN in France)
In this situation, the person taking over the activity should create another PayPlug account and follow the activation process.
Case 3: Your company is changing to a new legal entity.
If you already have a company but it changes of legal entity (from a status to another), this implies the existence of a new registration number. You will have then, to create a new PayPlug account and follow the activation process.
