The American express functionality will be available from Prestashop 1.6 or 1.7 and version 3.11.1 of the PayPlug module.
For activation, simply go to your Presashop back office and activate the feature as shown below in the modules menu > PayPlug> Payment methods> Amex > Activate > Save changes :
