1. Settings
In order to accept payments with Payplug you should first configure the plugin/the extension in your Magento back-office.
The general configuration can be done from the Stores, then Configuration, then Sales and Payplug Payments menu.
In order to configure the plugin, you should connect before with a Payplug valid ID and Password.
Once connected, your account email will be displayed above the logout button and you will be able to set up the LIVE or TEST mode and choose an embedded or redirect payment page and then save the changes by clicking on the "Save Config" button.
- Modes
You can choose between the TEST or LIVE mode. The TEST payments, unlike LIVE payments are not real transactions. However, this mode gives you a visual approach of Payplug's plugin functioning.
When you go from TEST to LIVE mode and reversely on Magento 2, your password will be asked again.
- Payment page
The Redirect payment page, will redirect your customers to a Payplug secure payment page, outside your website. Once the payment ended, your customer will be redirected to your confirmation page.
To customize your payment page you can go to the following page.
The Embedded payment page opens a pop-up and keeps your customers on your website's environment.
1.1 Standard payment settings on Magento
Once your Payplug account is connected, you can configure your payments.
You can access to your configuration dashboard from Stores> Configuration> Sales> Payment Methods> Payplug Payments - Standard
1.2 How to fill in the different Payplug parameters
- Enabled
Indicates if Payplug will appear at checkout
- Title
Element displayed next to the credit card logos at payment
- One-click payment
This option allows your customers, when activated (field to Yes) to save credit card information for their next purchase.
This feature is available on the Pro plan, but can be tested with full access in TEST mode.
- Processing and Cancelled Order Status
These two settings allow you to choose which status will be used when the Payplug plugin will change the order status, for example "Processing" when the payment is validated, "Cancelled" when the is denied or cancelled.
Default status are selected on Magento. Please check the orders for more information
- Currency
As Payplug is currently only available in Euro, you should make sure this is one of the accepted currencies from the menu Stores> Configuration> General>General>Currency Setup> Allowed Currencies.
- Country
If this element is configured to “All allowed countries" the Magento default configuration will be applied. To configure the countries in a larger way on Magento, you can go to the menu Stores> Configuration> General>General>Country Options>Allow Countries.
You can also select specific countries for which Payplug will be available, based on the billing address.
- Sort Order
This element allows to set the order in which the means of payment will display at checkout. The lowest valued will be displayed first.
2. Your orders on Magento 2
The Payplug payment ID will be available in the order detail with information regarding the payment (status, amount, card's 4 last numbers, date to which this payment was done, credit card expiration date; 3D secure information)
If a saved card is used, there won't be a card displayed in the corresponding section.
The Payplug ID for the payment in several instalments will be available in the order detail as a standard payment.
