How long does it usually take to receive a refund ?
Once you have refunded your customer from the PayPlug interface, the refund process is immediately engaged at the bank level.
The refunded amount is then automatically returned to the bank account associated with the credit card, whatever is the type of card used.
It usually takes sevral business days in order for a refund to be visible on the bank account. It can take until 3 weeks in some cases.
The refund can be received even if the credit card has expired or is canceled after the payment.
The reliable information regarding the good reception of a refund is on the monthly bank statement in paper or pdf.
Some banks don't display the refunds on the simple dashboard of the online bank account.
A refund is still not received, What can I do?
If your customer has difficulties finding a refund on his bank account, please advise him the following elements:
- To check the paper or pdf bank statement. Indeed, this is the only reliable information
- To check the transaction from the day of purchase
- To look for PayPlug on his bank statement.
- To contact his bank agency and to ask them to check the refund's good reception on the account linked to the credit card.
