What happens in the event of a chargeback?

In the case of a charge-back from your customer, PayPlug may ask you to refund the payment.

A chargeback happens when one of your customers contests a payment from his/her bank in order to obtain a refund. For all payments by credit card, your customer can contest payment within 13 months. 

This situation may arise in the following cases:

You have not met your general terms and conditions of sale (ex: product not delivered)

Your customer has used a stolen credit card to pay you

We invite you to carefully read this advice to avoid any charge-back issues. In addition, we apply the 3D-Secure system for transactions at risk - in order to protect you from fraudulent payments. You can also activate 3D-Secure for all your transactions in the PayPlug portal.

In the case of a chargeback, PayPlug reserves the right to charge you a fee of 15€ per chargeback.
